Jefferson City High School has reported 22 assaults so far this school year. That's equal to last year's total assaults for the year. Jefferson City School District Spokesperson, David Luther, says some schools have seen a decrease in the number of assault reports.
Luther says the district attributes the high number to students bringing outside problems and disputes to school. The School District is going to work with students and parents to clarify appropriate behavior and handle any assaults internally. Luther says in the meantime, schools will continue to follow normal protocol.
Students guilty of assault face up to ten days out-of-school suspension in the Jefferson City School District. The school district defines assault as physically injuring another person. The legal definition says physical contact isn't necessary for an assault to occur.
This is a shame all those kids having kids! Someone should have taught some of these children and their parents that putting your hands on someone shouldn't be the only way to adress the problem. However if someone put's their hands on you you definitly should givve them what they asking for. Despite the self defence, these kids are crying out due to some problem in there community. Social issues need to be adressed, if there steming from job loss or dynamic issues in the home. Hopefully change will help to put out the fire for this inferno.
